On March 16, 2020, Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley’s programming, like many other organizations, was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Suddenly we found ourselves closing our doors to the Basilio Huertas Senior Center and scrambling to adjust our food pantry hours to serve members of the community by appointment only.

But even though our halls are empty, we are busier than ever, providing our seniors with food, activity packets, and hope. Meanwhile our Food Pantry has been preparing two-week supply packs of food for individuals and families, and our WIC program is seeing more clients than ever before.

Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley is committed to working hard to help our community through these uncertain times. We have adjusted our operations to ensure we can provide both safety for our staff and our community members who are in need our help.

At this time, we would like to recognize the sponsors of our 2020 Fiesta Gala. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, that event was unable to take place…yet these supporters allowed the Hispanic Center to continue to use their donations in support of our increased operating costs. On behalf of HCLV staff, Board of Directors, Volunteers, and the participants we assist, thank you for your commitment and dedication to our organization in this time of need.

Together we can help people live healthier, safer, more self-sufficient lives. Together, we can continue to make a difference.
