The voice revolution is around the corner. But what about the people who cannot speak or hear?

Advances in AI, machine learning and computer vision as well as the the largest natural language processing database from Google combined will soon make it possible to translate and speak sign sign language out loud. Combining this with voice assistants to augment everyday life is an aspirational application of the technology that is being developed.

Technology must adapt to the person, and not vice versa. The future of design must be inclusive, and uplift every member of the community, as every contribution moves the human race forward. The Google Sign Assistant would also create awareness and inspire developers to consider digital inclusion and accessibility tools in the creation of new apps.
