With a two-month delay (and counting) owing to the ongoing snap lockdown in Malaysia, the first mock-bound of 'Plates, Vol.4: Seeds' arrived via courier last week. The mock-bound is meant to be the final stage before our final 1,000 unit print-run. But, unfortunately, that's not the case with this issue of 'Plates'. As I wait for V2 of the mock-bound to be printed and delivered (a first since 'Plates' launched in 2019), here's a rundown on why I personally feel it's necessary to pay the extra cost for a mock-bound during the production process.
