Design your own colorful pennant to celebrate your community! How can you create a flag using colors, symbols, and/or patterns to represent your favorite things in your neighborhood and beyond?
You’ll need:
• Felt
• Fabric
• Yarn or string
• Glue
• Scissors
What we’re learning: Fine motor skills, creative design thinking, and community building
Instructions:
1. Create the base of your pennant by cutting the felt into your desired shape (triangles are popular for pennants!).
2. With the remaining felt & fabric, design your flag by cutting out shapes, letters, and/or numbers, then attaching with glue!
3. Once you feel you’ve added enough details to your pennant, attach some yarn to the top with glue.
4. After it’s dry, find a wall to hang your beautiful new creation!
