October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research.

Stella McCartney has designed a mastectomy bra for breast cancer survivors.
The cause is close to Stella's heart after her mother died from the disease in 1998.
This film has been produced by NFTS, National Film and Television School, as part of the collaboration with Stella McCartney and Breast Cancer Awareness. It tells the time span that embraces the life of a woman from the moment that precedes learning the hard news of a diagnosis of the cancer, to the newfound "normality".
