The Empathy Machines project sought to engage young makers in STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Mathematics) powered projects. Our Interaction Design team partnered with Students from Gameheads Oakland to turn their traditional illustrations into interactive, multimedia content. We then built a unique interface for our Spring exhibition at Cal State East Bay. A gallery-goer could cycle through the work using buttons reverse engineered from a Guitar Hero controller.
