What norms did the DSD address or challenge? (consider: personal, societal, cultural, etc)
- This DSD addressed specifically "how we are expected to eat" certain things. With regards to the societal norm of eating our food with hands/silverware, this DSD challenged the way we eat by using a blender to blend all the food together. The DSD also challenged societal/cultural norms about how one eats in a public setting, using the blender in public was outside of the norm and made lots of noise so people around me stared to look.

What challenged or surprised you about this experience? (consider: public reaction, seeing something from a new perspective, learning something new, etc)
- What challenged me about this experience was when we first got to in n out there was a family sitting at the table with the only outlet, so we had to wait until they were finished eating to go over and use it. I was surprised when I started to put the different things into the blender more and more people started to stare and look, some even pulling out their phones and recording. I was also surprised that not one in n out employee stopped me and asked what I was doing or even asked me after the fact.

What is the value of your exploration? (consider: the concept of "value" is open to broad interpretation)
- I think the value of my exploration was first personal - doing it in public really does give more value than just doing something out of the ordinary in private as it opens you up to public reaction. I think another aspect is that in doing the DSD in public, opens other people up to questioning and thinking about the norms I am challenging.
