Here's what I came up with during that "work from home" period I had. You can see the Swagger automatic documentation of the API, then I make an API call that tells the server piece to walk a directory tree and put the contents into an in-memory database. I then switch over to the Angular GUI that shows the directory tree and allows me to pull up a list of files in the directory and click one to view it. The "viewer" at the bottom only supports images, which is why the text files look like a broken image icon.
It's very bare-bones because I was concentrating on learning Angular, Spring Boot, etc.
