Peter looked to the opportunity of crisis to transform, showcasing the quick shift to digital learning environments. However, his main message was to keep it human, coined through the term phygital - both physical and digital. “It’s critical we use digital tools to strengthen human connection not remove it.” As a capability, digital provides us with the opportunity on one end of the spectrum to run a maths class from a leading mathematician for 80,000 students, while on another to provide very personalised support for students finding materials challenging. His parting words were a reminder not to go back, but to evolve, using this opportunity to be more connected.
