Today we worked on some drive work using dead toys and restrained recalls. I have Detour run to my mum with the toy a few times so he really drives out of his pivots as well as his restrains. This is the first time he has worked going to someone else for a toy which is a bit of training for potential training days and driving down straight lines when he's learning. We mix up rewards for the pivots with me having the toy, as well as doing drive work for the dead toy, and toy in hand. We work on a pivot with a dead toy ahead without much success initially, so I make it a bit easier and restrict his ability to get to the toy and retry, then redo the sequence with me close to him so he will have less speed so it's easier to follow my motion then go to the toy. Finish on a dead toy race for fun!
