”The Concluding Half Second Does Not Exist” (org title ”Den sista halva sekunden finns inte”), examines themes such as death, time and memory within a consciousness instead of an actuality. By using 8mm film and developing it at home, the film wants to question how visual technique can contribute to the viewers bodily memory of watching a screen. I aim to use the story and the technique to create an essential ’nowhere’, where the viewer can make their own conclusions. The story isn’t explicit, the image isn’t well-defined which makes the time and memory obscure – infinite.
