Before I was a member of the First Americans' Education Leadership Program, I kind of thought culturally responsive teaching was like you're changing up everything in the lesson plans.
But now I've learned that it's really a lot more simple to incorporate in the context of a lesson.
Maybe you're just adding in more of a personal touch for the students, whereas, before, I was thinking I needed to do a whole different lesson in order to incorporate culturally responsive teaching.
So it just made me more aware of what exactly that looks like in the classroom.
