It is said that some people are in search of immortality; not the immortality that glory gives but the one that science promises.
I am thinking about this today because it is mentioned here and there, but also because this quest can constitute a model. So I recognise that it is megalomaniacal and probably quite impossible. But it is a dream, a horizon to be reached, and therefore a powerful motor.
The point here is not to repeat what we have, but to look for more and further, beyond what is possible; is this not, in the end, what makes us human?
This is true for each of us. It is true of a company, which is only ever the result of the men and women who make it. It too must renew itself, diversify, transform itself. It too must grow, expand, dream. And if its dreams can be intensified, it is because each time it grows it also gives itself the resources and the strength to dream bigger, wider.
Aiming beyond its achievements, always seeking to improve, in everything, in the big and small things, that is what I invite you to do as I wish you all a very beautiful day.

Certains, dit-on, sont en quête d’immortalité ; non cette immortalité que donne la gloire mais celle que promet la science.
Si j’y pense aujourd’hui c’est parce qu’on en parle, ici et là, mais aussi parce que cette quête peut constituer un modèle. Alors, je reconnais qu’elle est mégalomane et sans doute tout à fait impossible. Mais c’est un rêve, un horizon à atteindre, et donc un puissant moteur.
Ne pas répéter ce que nous avons mais chercher plus et plus loin, au-delà du possible, n’est-ce pas dans le fond ce qui fait notre humanité ?
C’est vrai pour chacun d’entre nous. C’est vrai d’une entreprise, qui n’est jamais que la résultante des hommes et des femmes qui la font. Elle aussi doit se renouveler, se diversifier, se transformer. Elle aussi doit croitre, s’élargir, rêver. Et si ses rêves peuvent s’intensifier, c’est que chaque fois qu’elle grandit elle se donne les ressources et la force de rêver plus grand, plus large.
Viser au-delà de ses acquis, chercher toujours à s’améliorer, en tout, dans les grandes et petites choses, voilà ce à quoi je vous convie au moment de vous souhaiter, à tous et à toutes, une très belle journée.
