Thinking back on it now, the LCC has left such a positive impact on my college experience! I still remember how relieved I felt reading that sweet welcome letter from Corrine in July 2016, about a month before I started school at Winona State. I had been pretty anxious about uprooting my life in Madison, WI to start a whole new one in Winona, MN, but her kind words really put me at ease. Little did I know at the time just how much the LCC had in store for me over the next four years! From congregation visits and Fall Retreats, to becoming a Student Leader my sophomore year, I am thankful for the many opportunities that this ministry has given me throughout college, all of which have greatly contributed to my personal development.
A couple special moments that I'll always cherish during my time with the LCC are when I gave my own sermon on God’s grace in front of a congregation for the first time, as well as our environmentally-conscious Service Learning Trip to San Francisco in March 2019 - these were priceless experiences that I would have truly missed out on had I not chosen to connect with the LCC way back in my freshman year. In short, for me it's been such a wonderful journey with this ministry and I'm sure glad that I decided to stay involved with the LCC during my time at Winona State!
