Cognition diary is a learning tool and a knowledge base each person designs during life. It is a VR space, in which each building represents a discipline studied by the user.
During the lifetime the area expands with the knowledge stored. New disciplines arise and connect, building a strong network of various contents.
All the information and experience discovered by the user in regard to each subject can be found and recreated in the discipline area. The constructions are uniquely designed by everyone and can have connections in between.
They contain training space and a library of video lectures, books, games and VR experiences. All the artifacts from the learning process (like particles from an experiment, a specific book or an image) can be also stored inside.
The system collects the data regarding each person on how he or she perceives information in the best way. It calculates time and memorizing levels comparing them to different mediums and learning techniques. Afterward, an algorithm develops a flexible learning model adapting to one’s cognition preferences and trying to find a perfect balance and rhythm between use and interest.
People still have much control over the direction their explorations lead to. They can go much deeper with the specific subjects but still keep widening up their acknowledgment upon they prefer.
As everyone designs his knowledge system on his own, people, in general, become more independent and pro-active as parts of society outside the VR and feel themselves building a world together as designers and architects.
They plan strategically and think through various situations in order to embody their concept in the most appropriate and sustainable way. The information is available all around the world and is presented as high-quality interactive content. The learning process continues regardless the age. Children still go to school in order to socialize, learn to interact and collaborate, dance, draw, do sports, and build the communities.
In order to avoid people distancing from each other due to perception differences and isolated information systems, there is an opportunity to share your explorations by inviting a friend for a whole day journey into your diary. People can show each other disciplines they wouldn’t even discover otherwise and quickly link knowledge to the existing system.
In the video, I recreate a diary of a young girl. He prefers it to be a geometric circle symbolically divided into sections (hemisphere) representing science and humanities. In the center of the map, there is a Philosophy area representing that everything starts from a thought. It has a few entrances from each subjects’ side.
