There are three types of leaders, the Buddha says: one who takes risks and blazes new trails, one who guides people on a journey, and one who takes care of others before the self.

Over the course of my career, I’ve discovered that in order to be an extraordinary leader, I must embody all three of those roles. While sometimes my role has been to bravely forge new directions, at other times my focus has been on shepherding the individuals in my care.

I believe that this melding of roles is what makes for an authentic and influential leader.

True leadership means developing the people in your company as much as you develop your business and income. It is about visionary thinking and looking beyond what most can see. It’s about leading with social and global responsibility. It’s about having the capacity, capability, and knowledge to lead with truth and trust instead of fear, anger, and control. True leaders have the influence and sophistication to lead with diversity and inclusion.

As a leader, I’ve learned how crucial it is to be able to communicate with everyone in my ecosystem and to build relationships without expectations. I keep working on my inner alignment, growth, and well-being, and it’s that integrity that helps me lead from an authentic, inspiring place that connects minds and hearts and leaves a legacy of partnership.

I now work with successful leaders to help them experience deeper personal success in extremely high-pressure roles. There’s a structure to the journey. We focus first on inner work to provide a solid foundation for new leadership skills, then on outer work to implement and refine those skills. But it’s important to note: This is not a “quick-fix” workshop or course. I spend a full year with each CEO. It’s not something just any CEO would take on. It’s a journey for extraordinary leaders who know there’s more to leadership than the bottom line.

I believe you are a unique person with a singular vision and purpose, and I believe that leadership is about investing heavily in the relationships around you. That’s why I take your growth personally. Over the course of one year, leaders in the LIONS program take part in 10 six-hour, full-day mentoring sessions with me (once every five weeks) as they delve into deep inner learning and meaningful outer work drawn from a wide range of disciplines, including:

At the conclusion of the 12-month program, leaders will have the opportunity to take part in two additional stages, which take the form of two 90-minute conversations scheduled over the subsequent six months. Our overall journey will take place over 18 months.
