First, everyone should get every day. If a child is missed one day, that child should be prioritized the next day. The Two-Day Meter shows you how you are distributing your positive feedback the last two days! Second, for those who are getting negative feedback, ClasStars encourages you to maintain healthy positive to negative feedback ratios by providing border colors that indicate the ratios! These are not meant to penalize the children! It is a reminder for the teacher to “catch them being good” and provide more positive feedback to them. Studies show that ratios are a key indicator in assessing relationship strength, and teachers know that their relationship with their students are the foundation upon which all of their learning happens. By having a constant reminder, teachers can better provide positive feedback to the students who need it most!
