This video was an experiment - a bit unfinished as it needed to be posted before i need to go offline for a while and there are still so many things to make better.
Still it is a step in a direction where i always wanted to go: Creating scene, figure, plants, shaders, light but also including my own melodies. So most of the ingredients could be improved (it rendered a week, so i only had one day for setup), especially the sound part which is just me playing around with my old synths for an hour (still i like the melody that materialized). I always wanted to create something complete all by myself - picture and music - this isn’t it yet, but as i said it’s a first step.

Technical note and credit

A big “Thank You!” to Shahriar Shahrabi for the outstanding mountain model i was allowed to use as a base for this:

I enhanced it a bit with subdivision for the closeups also altering the mesh and redid the shaders. For the peak for closeups i added some grass and flowers - and also some of my parametric trees trying to get a balance between detail and still keeping it renderable (as for the 990 pictures needed here render times for each frame really need to be short)
Figure is M4 with my own displacement and skin shader - clothes are dynamic ones using Marvelous Designer

Of course light was a bit tricky and here it was important to use a technique where the HDRI used for lighting can be different from the background picture.

Setup time for everything including clothes was only one day as i needed to send it to render so it would be finished in time, pure render time being about a week (990 pictures). Same for the background melody using some synths and space designer in logic which was just playing around a bit yesterday night - at a point where there was no time left to do something reasonable - still i decided to include it as it fits and supports the emotion.

The scene was put together in Cinema4D and rendered with vray with only light postwork enhancing colors.
