Learn how to create a community of inquiry and involved learning both online and in the traditional classroom that is built by fostering engagement, responsibility, and understanding where students can thrive. We can utilize tools from Social Emotional Learning to foster engagement and self-efficacy, which are paramount in the online learning format. Students and staff are being challenged to transition into a new format for learning. Students who have already been successful may also struggle under a new system and those struggle already will likely have the most challenges in adapting and learning. In this workshop we will discuss how we can take this opportunity to build our new online classrooms purposefully and cultivate a community of inquiry in an environment where students are inspired to engage and learn that can also be carried over into the traditional classroom framework.
