The Buddha's Light International Association is part of Richardson's Interfaith Alliance, a group that works to increase respect of all faiths through education and increased awareness and to coordinate and enhance faith-based services for the betterment of the community. During the week and on Sundays, the BLIA, which is located at 1111 International Parkway in Richardson, opens its dining room, on the second floor of its temple to promote culture and healthy eating. While most visitors come from Richardson, several travel long distances to try the delicious food.
