Last week I challenged myself to learning a new skill (or revising one). I haven't rock climbed in years and have only had experience on man-made walls; so signing up for a 4-day rock climbing course in the #BlueMountains was a push out of my comfort zone.

The main part which I found challenging was trusting others when being belayed. Which I did daily for 4 days and I feel a lot more confident in that area now.

This video is from day 3 on a pretty easy climb where I had a go at tying my own anchor and had a top belay to abseil down. The video is on 4x the speed as I'm still gaining confidence on calculated yet quick movements. I also need to work on my centre of gravity more too.

All in all a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Australian School of Mountaineering in #Katoomba.
