This five part series was created to introduce middle school students to Hawaii Island science careers. This segment profiles a couple who has a dangerous, but rewarding job. They remove bees from the walls of homes, offices, churches, schools and other places where the bees are not welcome. The couple moves the bees to a remote apiary where they can peacefully and productively pollinate plants. I wore a full bee suit to shoot the footage since we were surrounded by thousands of agitated bees.
