AURORA @ SETAS DE SEVILLA is a multisensorial cultural experience on top of the emblematic Metropol Parasol, Setas de Sevilla building in the heart of Sevilla, Spain. It represents a new breed of physical-digital environments where live data feeds from local sensors and big data harvesting are used to drive unique LED lighting infrastructure embedded into the existing architecture.

The visitors are immersed into an everchanging landscape of light and sound reinterpreting contextual triggers and the parametric geometry of this striking building, all set against the historic landscape of central Sevilla. The visitors can access the experience every night from sunset onwards with special programming for local high-days of cultural significance such as Feria de Sevilla and Semana Santa.

CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
This is a permanent installation creating one of the world's most advanced examples of experiential architecture. The installation runs on Skandal Technologies POET system which is is self-adjusting and operates autonomously as an integrated solution, bringing together unique real-time digital content, custom LED hardware, advanced networks and remote communications technologies, and specialised integration in a unique and complex built environment.

The project was develop by Skandal Technologies (skandal.tech) for SACYR Spain in collaboration with sub-consultants Lighting Design Collective Madrid (ldcol.com) and Ingeniería Valladares.
