The art we make stands for everything the opposite of what corona imposes on us as human beings and as a society. It stands for physical presence and community.

It has been amazingly inspiring to see how my creative colleagues at Behance, the Arts and Crafts community Kunstsmedjen and Halvcirklen answered the challenge: Teaching from home, designing workshops in their own houses, conducting e-learning courses, and doing morning school at the kitchen table. We go out and share works in our closest friends' mailboxes. We donate our time, artwork and teaching, in the hope of helping our colleagues in need.

I believe that more art will be needed than ever before on the other side of this crisis. In art, we can meet the past, present and offer the future. It gathers people. Maybe we remain human across the ages and face great challenges. When the art comes alive it becomes a mirror. We can find reflection, hope and start dreaming about the future.

Perhaps the crisis may help remind us that experiencing art, live, in community with others is not just a luxury we can do without - but something that matters to us and which we miss. I'm sure there will be plenty of art that arouses your curiosity. I look forward to welcoming you to my universe. This is my tribute to all who make a difference during this time.
