Allison “AJ” Woolsey is currently a 6th grade teacher in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from CCHS as student body president, she moved to Utah to attend Westminster College. She pursued a degree in elementary education with a minor in geology. The love for science and teaching has given her many opportunities. She was a curriculum developer and classroom management leader at the Natural History Museum of Utah, studied gastroliths in pre-ceratopsian dinosaurs, was part of a marine conservation research team in Spain, and has taught K-6 grade science in a Title 1 school. She and her team have created unique opportunities for their students. Some include an over night camping trip where students were able to connect with nature and humans, monthly field trips to increase awareness, a night of professionalism through an event called Dapper Day, and educational art opportunities with ukulele club and advisory. She has a deep passion for traveling, opportunity, dancing, the love languages, and smiling. AJ is known to share them with everyone around her.
