Educators and school districts have been at the center of the Covid crisis, working to adopt a mix of in-person, remote, and hybrid learning environments to keep schools open and working to return children to the classroom safely. Students and educators have new needs and expectations, requiring shifts in the way we think about learning spaces.

New resources are needed to meet these new challenges, and Indianapolis-based furniture dealer, Business Furniture + Choreo, has been working with schools to create flexible learning spaces to meet the needs.

A few key areas to think about:
• Activating spaces to meet social distancing requirements
• Engage in person “Roomies” and distance-learners, “Zoomies”
• Support concurrent teaching methods
• Addressing learning loss and promote mental and emotional wellbeing

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Congress passed stimulus legislation to help the economy (CARES Act). Since then, new bills have created further funding opportunities in education.

The education team at Business Furniture + Choreo is helping schools access those dollars by designing spaces that meet requirements to get students back on track.
