Albert Wright, Jr., WVU Medicine CEO spoke to members of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce at a "Lunch and Learn" Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021. The event was facilitated by Mary Jo Thomas, chairperson of Health and Wellness Division of the Chamber.
Mr. Wright highlighted first, the scope and ministry of WVU Medicine in the state. He describes the footprint in terms of location, services and integration of convenience for the patient, the supplier, the hospital and managed care facilities. He then concentrated on the Fairmont Regional Hospital. Through the power point presentation, he shared what the future will be in terms of expansion of services and providers.
He then answered questions and received comments from Publisher Andy Kniceley, President Mirta Martin, Senator Mike Caputo, Chamber President Tina Shaw, Legislator Joey Garcia, Marion County Rescue Squad Executive Director Michael Angelucci, Council and Board of Education officer Gia Deasy, Legislator Guy Ward, Community Representative Nick Fantasia and Mary Jo Thomas.
