Urgent and Primary care center has been working to provide the East Greenbush and surrounding Albany, NY area since 1998.

Dr. Dipti Bhoiwala who specializes in Rheumatology is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis osteoporosis, inflammatory muscle conditions and many other connective tissue diseases. We also diagnose and treat fibromyalgia, bursitis, tendinitis, etc.

About

I am an Internist and Rheumatologist by training. I have gone through rigorous training at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. I am double (ABIM) board certified in both fields. I am working at our clinic Urgent and Primary Care and work as a hospitalist at St. Peter’s Hospital. The work at St. Peter’s allows for me to be in touch with inpatient care. I have been able to incorporate basic science research into my training, and still partake in research, which has kept me abreast of new and upcoming information about medicine. I have been able to be front and center to discovering new findings for Rheumatoid arthritis and oxidative stress on the body.

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to become a medical doctor. I have always wanted to help people. I grew up watching my father, Dr. Laxmikant Bhoiwala, develop into the wonderful physician he is today. I am very happy to join his practice, Urgent and Primary Care in East Greenbush, NY and work alongside my mentor. He and I share the same ideology, put patient care first. Here at our practice, we believe in spending time with our patients and making sure all their needs are tended. I have wonderful parents that I am blessed to be able to work along side. This allows for a very personal and family touch to our patients that we take care of. I offer Rheumatology and Primary care with a combination of diet/lifestyle modification counseling. I am open to and also incorporate functional medicine and alternative medicine approaches. I tailor the care for the patient by working very closely with the patient. I am directly available to my patients which allows for very close monitoring and care.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family.. I have a wonderful and caring husband and a little rambunctious toddler at home. They make my life complete.
