Al Ándalus was for centuries the light of civilization. A land of knowledge and wisdom exchange. A mix of cultures. To those eight centuries we owe a good part of what defines our culture and our contemporary world.

Canal Historia (History Channel Spain) commissioned us to make the opening title sequence for their upcoming original docuseries "Al Ándalus - El Legado". They gave us freedom to create, they wanted us to play with some of the most important legacy the Andalusí left us in modern way. Science, architecture, medicine, engineering are only a few of the wisdom we got from the Al-Ándalus Heritage.

After some research, we found that the Astrolabe, an instrument used to make astronomical measurements, typically of the altitudes of celestial bodies, and in navigation for calculating latitude, we found it was an interesting tool we could use for tighten up all the ideas together.

Inside the astrolabe, we slowly introduced more of the Al-Ándalus legacy: Arabic Arches, the iconic colorful Tiles and an apple tree for medical uses of plants.

As the sequence develops find out that all the elements seen before are just part of the logo, revealing the title in old corroded gold and adorned by some ornaments.
