Immunization coverage rates dropped substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic among all age groups. While rates are starting to rebound, this recovery has not occurred equally across all demographic groups, and existing disparities in immunization coverage were exacerbated by the COVID pandemic. To ensure immunization coverage rates to protect communities against vaccine preventable diseases, these disparities need to be addressed. This webinar will review health disparities in immunizations and how to address these disparities in practice.

As a result of this activity, the learner will expand their knowledge and competence regarding health disparities in immunizations and how to address these disparities in their practices.

Define the term health disparities.
Describe examples of health disparities in relation to immunizations.
Recognize strategies to address/reduce health disparities in immunizations.
Target Audience: Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and other medical providers that provide or otherwise work with communities on immunizations.
