A peak into the installation Why do birds sing?

A 6 minute sound installation played at 1,5 hour intervals, 2019. Exhibited in Reykjavik’s swimming pools as a part of the public space exhibition Autumn Bulbs, Reykjavík Art Museum, Reykjavík, September 2019.

Materials: 18 smartphones, 18 sim cards, 9 locked lockers in the male changing rooms and 9 locked lockers in the female changing room of a swimming pool, a computer script that calls the phones following a predetermined pattern.
