Hi Colin MacLeod, Celtic Fiddle Guru here, I'm at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond this afternoon.

And we're getting the sunset here, admiring the sculpture.

I'm looking, looking behind me at the sculpture. This is one of the most beautiful sculptures in the garden at VMFA or Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

You know, it reminds me about Michelangelo sculpting David.

He had a big block of marble.

Michelangelo had a massive block of marble and he sculpted David.

Just a great, great statue.

And you know, it's a bit like playing something by ear.

You know, when you play a tune by ear, you really get to sculpt the tune in a way that you really like to play it.

Like this.

Now that tune was actually called the Uist Tramping song.

So I've been doing a bit walking this afternoon around and so you know, when you're wanting to do something, you can play it by ear or you could take one of the Learning by Ear programs in the Celtic Fiddle Guru Academy.

I'm shortly going to be doing one of those Learning By Ear Programs, online at the beginning of February.
