A painting for Holly and Larry Shulman of Sarasota, FL - based on the metaphors the couple provided, Sunshine for Holly and Jazz for Larry, this abstract painting of blues, turquoise, greens and soft corals was created to complient the colors of this couple's Floridian home. Holly chose the song, "Ripple," by the Grateful Dead to accompany this time lapse as the words have significant meaning for her. Throughout the composition of the painting, the artist often listened to the music of Miles Davis, specifically "Blue in Green," which is a favorite of Larry's. I hope you enjoy the rippling effects of the ideas of musical notes mixed with colorful marks that allow for interactive yet calming imagery.
