For this week’s song, we cranked up the Jangle to “Eleven” and possibly to “Twelve.”
In the late 1950’s, American Folk Music icon, Pete Seeger, wrote the music and adapted the lyrics from the Book of Ecclesiastes for this song, later recorded by The Byrds. The mood, sentiment, and lyrics have always resonated with me from the first time I heard it and perhaps even more so during these times of isolation and reflection.
As the seasons continually change, my hope is there will be a time for peace - I swear it’s not too late…
