This video is a short fun time-lapse of my fiance doing a face mold of my own face.
The process took approximately about 1 hour and some minutes for the alginate to be placed on my head ( not inckuding bald cap time ) and for the alginate to set and take place. Then he placed clothes around the head to create a separation so that the bust can be removed later. Plaster was then used as the final product. He poured it inside the mold and left it to set overnight. He cracked open the mold carefully the next day, and the last picture reveals the semi- final product.
He decided to cast a mold of my face, that way it is easier to create prosthetic pieces for special effects makeup.
