Timothy Allen Claseman passed away and was reunited with the love of his life on Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was 69. Tim lived his life with strength, determination, and fire. There was never a battle that he didn't face head on, and his fight with lung cancer was no exception. But, even the strongest and most determined fighters grow tired, and his body is now resting peacefully. Born on Christmas Day, 1951, in Los Angeles, California to George and Marie Claseman, he was the second oldest of four children. After living in Minnesota for a small time, he returned to Los Angeles and later entered college at UC Irvine. Initially, he aspired to become a pharmacist, but Organic Chemistry changed his mind and he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science. After graduation, he began his career as a software engineer at NCR where he met the love of his life and future wife, Mary. Always a risk-taker with a love for start-ups, he worked for many different companies throughout the following years. Each new venture brought new friends and unforgettable memories. You could ask 100 different people what they'll remember Tim for, and hear 100 different stories. He was a man of many passions, including his love of huskies, country music, dancing, sports, and spoiling his grandkids. Most of all, he was a quiet presence with a generous heart that will undoubtedly forever leave a mark on all who met him. The world has lost a great son, brother, cousin, friend, husband, father, and "PaPa". He was the perfect combination of loyal, protective, mischievous, feisty, generous, adventurous, and fun rolled into one incredible person. While he is no longer with us, these qualities and his memory live on through his two daughters, Lindsay (Toby) Lewandoski and Krista (Jon) Merlin and his 3 grandchildren: Aidan, Mary Rose, and Delilah. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine (Don) Hallum, brother, Kevin Claseman, and many friends and extended family. We are heartbroken to not have him with us anymore, but we know his heart is full again now that he's with his wife, Mary.Tim will be laid to rest on Wednesday, September 1, 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will also be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 25, at Lake Poway. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the California Wolf Center.
