LUCID FC brings nostalgic psychedelic party nights of the past to the new modern lifestyle.

The LUCID fc Spring/Summer 2021 film is an exploration, in 3 parts, of Mod culture from its origin to present day. Part 1 is an homage to the original Mods from the 1960s who were heavily documented by the BBC and other media outlets with newsreels and black and white photos having captured them riding their scooters, brawling with rockers on Bank Holiday, and loitering on Carnaby Street. In Part 2, long time friends and collaborators (members of the band) Triptych are depicted as a 90s esque band in a music video inspired by the 2nd British invasion which took place in the 90s and 2000s and borrowed heavily from Mod culture in the styles of the bands who wore the brands created by the original Mods. Part 3 of the video envisions a reinvention of the culture in current day via models wearing the LUCID Spring/Summer 2021 line with an exclusive glimpse of the retro-futuristic (Portman) architecture of downtown Atlanta as a backdrop.

Recreating the adage, “Classic is The New Cool”, the Lucid Twins/designers, Betts and Chet, found inspiration through bringing the post-punk subculture to the present. Shades of marble, granite and concrete and psychedelic inspired prints tinged with an electric colour palette create a modern take on classic silhouettes for their Spring/Summer 2021 collection. The collection is made by hand in Atlanta, staying true to the brand since its inception by supporting the local economy.
