"The Very Blue Days" is a video of a helicopter circling around the beach in The Hague. They appear occasionally, police, emergency, tv, leisure, observation, surveillance – the helicopters love the beach and the beach loves the helicopters (Lana del Rey). "As it circled around I noticed that it’s making loops, both externally and internally". Do helicopters know about self-similar melodies (Tom Johnson). A trio of movements seemed right, enough space for the rotor system, hardly any for the sky’s blue.
