Staged in the historic Francis Loudin building in south Pullman, Salon, Vol I was a collaboration with Pullman historian Andy Bullen and graffiti artist Ian Lantz. Historic recountings, letters from Bullen’s 1880s archive, choreography, shared song and Friendship Bread merged into a theatrical rendering of a community meeting. Work sample demonstrates creation of site transformation into theatrical set, text devising and engaging spectator in storytelling about life in Pullman.
