Welcome Vimeo dinner audience, here's a fine jazz melody to keep your feet moving while you munch away on your hors d'oeuvres. This manic little number is the title track from the Powerhouse album by The Bobby Hammack Quartet, which my late father bought brand new (I still have it somewhere). "Powerhouse" was originally recorded by The Raymond Scott Quintette 20 years earlier. The tempo is quite fast on this version requiring rapid fire dexterity on the part of the xylophone player, drummer, and pianist. I have departed from the other forms of videos I have done in the past to render a more streamlined experimental presentation. Might make a good Halloween video too if you like the company of spirits. Enjoy.
