"Light as Medium" is a video created with the purpose of presenting the installation I realized for a private exhibition in June 2020, at Spatiu Intact (Cluj-Napoca, RO), but also use it for my portfolio. As part of my MA thesis, the project was founded by Babes-Bolyai University through a Cultural-artistic creation scholarship.
When it was exhibited the installation consisted of Untitled light sculpture & Green and yellow light environment. However, the configuration is flexible as the fluorescent light fixtures can be installed in numerous different ways according to the specificity of the sites. The fluorescent lights evoke the light sculptures of Dan Flavin, while the light environment refers to James Turrell.
