Celebrating Friendship

When the COVID-19 lockdown started I wanted to create something to celebrate friendship whilst including the work of fellow creatives and I asked you to send me some water related footage. As our bodies need water to give us life and purification, our spirits need collective reflection for growth and cleansing, which most of 2020 has surely lent itself to. Many of us have been forced to find new purpose, reevaluate our presence, find solutions within restrictions and become part-time tech specialists hired by Bear Withus.

I believe our true wealth is the presence of good great peeps around us and the legacy of those who have walked before us. So this one’s for you, my dear friends, for your inspiration, joy and your continuous support, especially during these last few months. I am forever crateful for you!

Thanks to all who sent in clips, featuring the work of Mark Thomas @soupco, Antony Morris @antonyguymorris, Ed Lister @edflagtime and also @priscilla_the_photographer & @whereclicksspeak who so kindly allowed me or use their footage which I came across on the internet land.

Here flows the ‘water of reflection’ from the Baltic Sea, the Irish Sea & the North Sea, through the Adriatic Sea and Bay of Bengal, the North Pacific Ocean, Parque National Canaima y Salto El Sapo, the Caribbean Sea, through the melody one of my beloved sonnets, by the timeless Bard and the musical mirror that is “Spiegel im spiegel” by the great Estonian composer Arvo Pärt.
