SKILL BUILDING TRADE is the latest visual to surface from the SONGS IN A SALLOW MAN’S KEY album. The sanguine track produced by longtime collaborator Speaks features cuts by DJ SMK, and is LEE’s ode to DJ SMK and SEK, two legendary graffiti writers from DC who LEE credits with preserving and passing along the graffiti tradition in the city. Lee explores what he sees as connections between his crews practice of the graffiti craft, and secret societies of the past, which used esoteric knowledge and symbolism to pass down history, and knowledge through the ages.
