Rising above the Sin is a documentary featuring young musicians from different countries, cultures and creeds that joined a project in Berlin. Organized by Roter-Baum, the project's main goal is to play a song at the Holocaust Memorial Day in the Berlin Parliament that happens on the 27th of January. 2020 marks the 75th year after the release of Auschwitz concentration camp.
Mark Twain said that history doesn't repeat, but it often rhymes. And reminding history couldn't be more important in a time extremist ideologies are on the rise once again. We should consider reflect on our history and understand it in a deep way so that catastrophes and human suffering never happen again.
