This week, the big news in the world of American music is the premiere of a documentary about the band, KISS, at the Tribeca Festival in New York.

“You wanted the best, you got the best.. the hottest band in the world”.. music

After 50 years, the iconic band is sharing their story of success in this documentary for the American television network A & E.

To mark the premiere, the band did a concert in Manhattan.

My press colleague, Taylor Taglianetti of the National Organization of Italian Americans in Film & Television was there and tells us about the concert.

Jeannine: So Taylor, tell me about this concert and what it was like being at a live event in Manhattan after a year of lockdown.

Taylor: We got to see the documentary, 50 years of KISS history- the first part at Tribeca and then right after the documentary, we got to see a performance by KISS. They opened up New York City. They brought back the New York groove. It was absolutely phenomenal. They pyrotechnics were as you’d expect- amazing.
