Palm Grove Circuit - Main Range National Park

Palm Grove Circuit to Jenyns Circuit Loop. With a choice of 2 entrances (Curtis Rd and Palm Grove Ave) that connect to the circuit walk, the former involves a steeper route via stairs while the latter is the more popular due to its more gentle pathway descent. We took the former! STAIRS! Meeting at Curtis Road. Turn into Curtis Road heading East, the road ends after about 100meters, parking is on the left as you enter the large turning circle.

It's a 4.8 kilometer loop trail located near Mount Tamborine, Queensland, Australia that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching.

This walk is not too difficult with beautiful bangalow and Piccabeen palms amongst an eucalypt forest with glimpses through the trees of the Gold Coast. Quite rocky in places along a shady single trail. A variety of birdlife can be seen and the track is suitable for all ages.

The first section of this bush walk is simply called “Access track”, which highly underrates the breathtaking rainforest scenery that awaits you. The track descends downhill, first gradually zigzagging than straightening out. Walkers will encounter a number of huge trees such as strangler figs, ghost gums and the like, some of these leaning and forming some fascinating buttress root growth formations (44 stairs).

A huge fallen strangler fig blocking the path has been partly cut allowing walkers to pass safely. At the “T” junction to the “Palm Grove Circuit” track allow time to admire a gigantic leaning strangler fig on the left.

Under 2 hours at a nice pace.
