When was the last time you stopped to really appreciate where you live? Amazing beaches, wildlife, bushland, escarpment and all kinds of nature surround my home, and I value the opportunity to show this off.
This short film attempts to immerse you in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven area of ‘Our South Coast’.
Shots were taken over the course of many months between Stanwell Park and as far south as Jervis Bay, and used together in order to display the diversity of both the area’s elegance and wealth of activity. Focusing on the first and last few hours of daylight in order to showcase these areas at their best, with clips being meticulously chosen from hours worth of footage.
The music used for the project was made by a DJ/Producer and friend of mine. A song that I felt had the perfect vibe to match the footage, I wanted it to slow down the viewer’s mood while still be significant enough to keep their attention.
An extension and improvement on previous projects, this is an attempt to help wash away any stresses for at least a brief moment, through immersive video and custom audio implementation.
Take a moment to relax and consider how great, Our South Coast really is.
