"Our Good Land" is an attempt to tell Polish history from the onset of WW2, through the Cold War, until Poland's membership in the European Union and how it sees itself today: socially, culturally, politically.

This film does not claim to offer an exhaustive and objective illustration of Polish history. "Our Good Land" presents history as it has been experienced by my grandmother and her three daughters who have lived in the same village in south-western Poland all their lives.

This film is about a part of Europe most of us do not hear or know about much: rural eastern Europe.
Partly a documentary and partly a poetic intervention with the help of local amateur actors and extras, "Our Good Land" will continue shooting through the end of 2021 with a projected release in mid 2022.
