City Dragon is the solo project of Paris based musician and writer Max Kaairo. Both his live sets and his recorded music are noisy and very physical improvisations on toy and junk percussion, saxophone and voice, processed on the spot through the use of effects. His live sets begin as abrasive, dissonant, a-rhythmical explosions on his stripped instrumentation, steadily reformed and structured by creating rhythmic loops through the use of his effects, then once satisfied with the result, employs as backdrops to sing his improvised pop songs over. His recorded music follows the same principle, the main difference being his ability to cut and collage these moments of noise and song together, resulting in a frantic and desperate attempt to make sense of chaos.
For his new piece 'Rainbow Bits' he collaborated with Jim Stickel who added a visual interpretation of the piece
