We wanted to bring a Westworld element to the video by providing a lyrical melody providing softness in contrast with the industrial scene. We started out with using the piano melody line from the Rachmaninoff cello sonata 2nd movement and slowed it down a lot. We then recorded the cello intro to set up the mood and sound before the piano line comes in. We ended up having an extended version of this song but we are really happy with how it came out and lined up to the video.
